Having been put forward for numerous awards this year from our amazing community, we’re extremely grateful to be recognised for such a prestigious award; with the North West LGBTQ+ Business Awards welcoming finalists throughout the area, including larger household names such as BT, Microsoft, United Utilities and much more!
With the awards, entries and categories growing this year, even to be shortlisted for such an award is a significant achievement, although would not be possible without the hard work behind the scenes, but most importantly you and our loyal customers and community who have helped shape Joshua Lloyd as Europe’s Number 1 LGBTQ+ Identity Pride Shop!
Message from Joshua
I am blown away to have been shortlisted for the LGBTQ+ Business Awards for their Young Person In Business Category. Although at the upper end of the age category, the dream that is Joshua Lloyd was formed many years ago and has taken years of dedication and hard work to get the brand to the level it sits at today, but there’s many more years ahead to continue building the worlds most inclusive shopping experience and safe space community!
When first launching the brand from my parents bedroom back in 2019, I truthfully never expected the brand to grow to such the international level it is today. People from all corners of the globe are now able to purchase inclusive fashion and LGBTQ+ pride accessories with confidence whilst being able to freely express themselves in our safe space community built on social media platforms.
I must express that none of this would have been possible without the partnerships built with sustainable manufactures and freelance artists, working alongside our charity partner LGBT Foundation and our amazing community and customers who have supported the brand since the beginning, without any of them or the partnerships built, Joshua Lloyd would be nowhere near the level it is today!
What are the LGBTQ+ Business Awards?
The LGBTQ+ community contributes enormously to the economy of the North West of England thanks to the creativity, ingenuity and resilience of its members.
The North West LGBTQ+ Business Awards is an opportunity to celebrate the amazing achievements of LGBTQ+ people in business and commerce in our region after what has been an unprecedentedly difficult twelve months following the Coronavirus pandemic, energy crisis and world upset.
Wirral businessman Drew Cockton, founder of the awards, said: “It’s wonderful to see businesses supporting the awards, whether that be through sponsorship or entering. The awards have grown in 2022.
“This gives us the opportunity to shine a light on our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters in business. It also gives us a chance to thank them for making our region such a fantastic and opportunity-filled place to do business and call home.”
Where will the LGBTQ+ Business Awards take place?
The LGBTQ+ Business Awards will take place on Friday 21st October 2022 at The Titanic Hotel, Liverpool. The event creates an opportunity to celebrate the great achievements of LGBTQ+ people in business and commerce within the North West of England.
